Satisfactory performance is required on the Department’s Master’s Comprehensive Examination that includes both a nationally developed core component and a speciality component for School Counseling and Community Counseling.The master’s comprehensive examination for Student Affairs emphasis is departmentally developed. This examination is given once each fall and spring semester, and once during the summer. Details about the examination and scheduled dates are available in the departmental office.

Clinical Instruction (12 sh)
Professional Specialty (12 sh)
Professional Specialty course work prepares students to work in specialized settings, such as community agencies, schools, or student affairs, and must be chosen under the careful advisement of a faculty member.
Student Affairs Emphasis (Non-Thesis Option) (36 semester hours)
