Electives

Additional electives may be sulcated from a combination of disciplines or within the same discipline. Some interdisciplinary specializations, which provide advanced academic preparation in a teaching field, are listed below. A minimum of 18 hours from the speciality field listed (or approved substitute courses) is required. Students may also enroll in a limited number of graduate courses within the family and consumer sciences or agricultural sciences teaching fields at other universities with approval from an adviser and the Graduate School.

A minimum of three semester hours must be taken in education or social sciences statistics or qualitative research methods. Course selection must be pre-approved by the adviser. Courses noted with an asterisk are pre-approved for this requirement.
